At Kindred Minds, we offer care that centers understanding over fixing and collaboration over compliance. Our work is grounded in curiosity about how each mind experiences the world and respect for the systems, identities, and relationships that shape mental health.

Our Approach

We provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy, assessments, parent education, and community support with transparency about scope, process, and options. Whether you’re seeking clarity, care, or next steps, we move at a pace that honors autonomy and informed choice.

Our practice is guided by five values: Autonomy, Curiosity, Justice, Community, and Authenticity. These values shape how we practice, communicate, collaborate, and show up—so support feels thoughtful, ethical, and genuinely human.

Identifying the Right Support for You

Choosing a mental health provider is about more than services—it’s about whether the approach fits your needs, values, and lived experience. This information is intended to help you get a clearer sense of whether the approach at Kindred Minds aligns with what you’re looking for.

    • Neurodivergent or exploring whether ADHD or autism might be part of your experience.

    • A parent or caregiver seeking affirming support for a neurodivergent child or teen.

    • An adult seeking clarity, self-understanding, or support later in life.

    • Navigating anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, or emotional regulation challenges.

    • Looking for care that considers identity, relationships, and systems—not just symptoms.

    • Seeking a quick fix, rigid program, or compliance-based approach.

    • Looking for therapy or assessment that minimizes identity, context, or lived experience.

    • Needing an evaluation specifically for IEP eligibility, disability determinations, or programs that require psychologist- or physician-only reports.

    • Uncomfortable with a practice that names systemic factors and values transparency.

    • Primarily seeking crisis, inpatient, or emergency services.

If this doesn’t feel like the right fit, that doesn’t mean support isn’t available—it simply means a different type of care may serve you better. We’re happy to help you think through alternatives or referrals when appropriate.
