Groups at Kindred Minds offer a space to connect with others who share similar experiences—without pressure to perform, explain, or fit a mold. These groups are designed to reduce isolation, build understanding, and create opportunities for reflection and growth in community.
Neurodivergent Adult
Therapeutic Support Group
Kindred Minds is offering a clinician-facilitated therapeutic support group for neurodivergent adults through Kentucky Trauma Therapists. This group is designed to create a space where you can connect with others who “get it,” share experiences without pressure, and build practical tools for everyday well-being.
February–May 2026
Meeting twice per month
6:00–7:30pm CST
Hybrid group setting
Monday – In person
Thursday – Virtual
Final dates will be announced soon. We’re thoughtfully considering the preferences shared through the interest form before confirming the schedule.

This 8-session group is for neurodivergent adults (diagnosed or self-identified), including individuals with:
Autism
ADHD
Sensory processing differences
Executive functioning challenges
Histories of misdiagnosis
The group is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and strengths-based. Affirmation is not an add-on — it’s built into how the group is structured and facilitated.

This group blends psychoeducation, peer support, and practical skill building. Topics may include:
Emotional regulation
Alexithymia and emotional awareness
Sensory awareness and accommodation
Burnout prevention
Masking and identity
Rejection sensitivity
Relationships and communication
Advocacy and self-understanding
Accessing appropriate accommodations
The intention is not to “fix” you — it’s to support you in understanding yourself more clearly and building systems that actually work for your life.

Individual intake screening prior to enrollment
Designed for adults who can safely participate in a group setting
Appropriate as a supplement to individual therapy and existing supports
Not intended for crisis-level or higher-acuity care
Medicaid and self-pay accepted
